GZK, Incorporated was founded in October of 1959 by its three founding partners Gershow, Zappin and Kopelove.  On October 9, 1959 the first restaurant was opened in Fairborn as Burger Chef hamburger restaurant.  It was the beginning of what was later to become the largest quick service restaurant chain in the Dayton, Ohio area.

The company has grown to more than fifty Arby’s and Lee’s Famous Recipe stores in the greater Dayton area since its founding.  The company has about 1,300 employees in both divisions making it one of the larger employers in the area. GZK has been actively involved in community programs and benefits over the many years we have been in business.
